We accept the following health insurance plans: BCBS, Cigna, Anthem, United Behavioral Health, Oxford, Harvard Pilgrim, Husky Medicaid plans. Self-payment is also accepted. I do not accept Medicare plans.

How long will my appointment be?

Initial appointments are 45 minutes. Follow up appointments are typically scheduled for 15-20 minutes depending on your needs and insurance coverage. Frequency of appointments is determined by your clinical needs and insurance coverage.

What is your approach to Medication Management?

My approach is collaborative and results-based. I aim to prescribe the fewest number of medications and at the lowest dose needed to see functional improvement. Many people come to me on multiple medications and are unsure whether they are helpful. In these cases, I work with patients to slowly reduce medications to discover what’s helpful and what may be unnecessary, thereby reducing the likelihood of harmful medication interactions and/or side effects.

What other treatments may be combined with medication?

Research indicates that medication yields more sustainable results when combined with psychotherapy. Adolescents are required to meet regularly with a therapist, and we strongly recommend that adults have an established relationship with a therapist. Other recommendations may include neuropsychiatric evaluation, laboratory testing, GeneSight testing, diet and lifestyle changes, meditation, supplements, and community support groups. I strongly encourage patients to explore alternative supports that work for them.

CAN YOU ENSURE MY PRIVACY?

Confidentiality is an essential aspect of treatment and is also your right in most cases. Please review our Notice of Privacy Practices for specific information on how and when your personal health information could be shared.
